Career
Zahi Abou Chacra began his medical education at McGill University’s School of Medicine, where he specialized in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. While still immersed in his studies, that same institution saw fit to honour him with the H.S. Burkitt Memorial Prize for excellence in his chosen branch of medicine.
Following his graduation from McGill, the newly-credentialed Dr. Chacra pursued advanced training in rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery in Houston, Texas. Due to the bi-national nature of his education, he holds dual certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
In 2022, Dr. Chacra became the Medical Director and Principal Surgeon at Clinique 7 in Montreal. His practice focuses on aesthetic, functional, and revision rhinoplasty. In addition to his clinical work, he serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Montreal.
In the past, Dr. Chacra’s professional roles have included significant administrative positions within Quebec’s provincial healthcare system. He has served as Chief of Service at the Centre Intégré Universitaire de Santé et de Services Sociaux du Nord de l’Ile de Montréal. He has also held board positions with the Integrated Health and Social Services University Network (CIUSSS) and the Association des Conseils de Médecins, Dentistes et Pharmaciens du Québec (ACMDPQ).
Complementing his medical expertise, Dr. Chacra also holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree from McGill University and HEC Montréal (École des Hautes Études Commerciales), which he has put to use both in his capacity as a public administrator and in managing his own private practice.
